Each programme keeps its curatorial statement and gathers a handful of works with full credits, so the thinking behind the selection stays attached to the films themselves. One programme is usually marked as currently showing. The rest move into the archive as a record of what has gone before. The works in the exhibition series were selected from an open call that was made to artists in Bangladesh and the Bangladeshi diaspora in late 2025 and are represent a starting point rather than anything definitive, a snapshot of a moment and of the reach of that process and this project rather than a survey of the whole of artists’ moving image in Bangladesh. They stand as a the beginnings of a conversation rather than an end.
